Cyne makes plans for “Pretty Dark Things” and “Starship Utopia”

When we last heard from Cyne, the underrated Gainesville quartet was making plans to release Pretty Dark Things, in February. Well, it’s April, and the group’s third full-length album still hasn’t come out.

Luckily, the group recently announced on its MySpace page that fans can expect not one, but two new albums in the next several weeks. Pretty Dark Things has found a home at indie-rock label Hometapes, which is releasing it digitally in May (with a physical CD to arrive a month later). Meanwhile another album, Starship Utopia, is coming May 30 via Project Mooncircle, an imprint run by German online retailer HHV and Beta Bodega Coalition.
