Scion Live Metro returns with Too Short

It’s a new year (actually, the first half of 2008 is almost finished), and Scion Live Metro, the monthly concert series that pairs rap icons with live bands, continues to push forward.

This month’s installment stars Too Short, the Oakland dude who made “Beeeeyootch” a national catchphrase. It’s an odd choice for a series known for backpack heroes, but I guess time tempers all offenses. (See Brand Nubian, etc.) Percee P, who has become a near-constant figure on Live Metro, returns with L.A. funk duo Connie Price & the Keystones and DJ Eleven.

As usual, the shows are free, but there’s only four dates, and they’re all in the Midwest. RSVP at www.scion.com/livemetro.
