You’re an idiot. Did you read the story? It was posted at the beginning of 2011, and it’s based on user data from one music service. It’s not based on my opinion of who the best indie artists were, but which were the most popular at that particular point in time. It’s been nearly a year since, so of course the list would probably be different now.

Dang…fools really don’t know how to read.

Yes, I remember the Record Man from back in the day. Weird place…everything is set in bookshelves and not priced. I remember it being very hard to find stuff because of the esoteric arrangement. I’ve developed a list of rarities on which I’m willing to spend top dollar, so when I get some cash perhaps I’ll make a visit.

Incidentally, Tony and I traded a few emails shortly after I wrote this post. I’ll try to send your email address to him.

Hi. I really enjoyed your story with the record stash. I worked with Tony back in the late 80′s early 90′s. I also worked with Wicked Mix, City Wide, Main Source and am in touch with the owners to this day. I appeared on Wicked Mix volume 7 or 11 on the Tara Kemp song “Just wanna’ hold you tight”. Anyway if you could pass along my email to Tony I would really appreciate it. Keep it Vinyl.
P.S.
The Record Man in Redwood City is still a great place to find vinyl. They have lot sales and a “rear” store aside from the front location. Great guy and knowledgeable.
