Remember Kanye West's "Big Brother," where he recounted how he and "big brother" Jay-Z always try to top each other? Well, before Kanye kicks off his "Glow in the Dark" marathon in May, Jay-Z will launch his "Heart of the City" tour in support of last year's acclaimed American Gangster.
Named after a track from Jay-Z's 2001 classic The Blueprint, the "Heart of the City" run features the queen of hip-hop soul herself, Mrs. Mary J. Blige. It marks the two's first run together since Jay-Z's aborted "Best of Both Worlds" tour back in 2004, when R. Kelly's bitch-ass antics forced Jay-Z to finish the dates with a superstar-packed lineup. And, of course, Blige sang on Jay-Z's first mainstream hit, "Can't Knock the Hustle," way back in 1996.
