Boots Riley opens for Tom Morello

Oakland rap activist Boots Riley is in the midst of a month-long tour opening for Tom Morello, a.k.a. the Nightwatchman (a.k.a. the guitarist for Audioslave and Rage Against the Machine, a.k.a. the dude who plays on that “Killing in the Name” song). When the tour is finished, Boots will join DJ Pam the Funkstress — together known as the Coup — for two shows opening for Meshell Ndegeocello.

No word on when that collabo album Boots and Tom promised way back will be released.
